Using a secondhand Canon 7D and youtube, I started to slowly learn what the little buttons on the camera stood for, what exposure was, and a handful of other terms that once seemed like gibberish to me. Faced with the difficulty of a shorter day, I had to learn flash photography and how to position the subject in a way where the flash didn't come off as too tacky. Some shirts featured in the shoot were made by me, and as I was learning photography I was also learning how a photo shoot works and how to position the models. Backgrounds were very important, I wanted the backgrounds to scream out loud, yet softly compliment the model. This experience was extremely fruitful as I hope to learn even more about photography and maybe even start doing professional shoots in the future. This project allowed me to explore something I've always wanted to do, yet never believed I had the time or commitment too. Regarding the photos, each photo has a specific anti-rape or feminist quote, and all were chosen in regards to the pictures. I'm extremely proud of the outcome with this project and will definitely continue learning more about photography.
